There is no fixed pass percentage marks nor is there is any fixed pass rate for CFA. Every year both the pass percentage is different and CFA does not make any public statement around how the same is calculated. But rumor has it that the pass percentage is primarily 65%-70% of the maximum scored in that particular exam. So say for example the maximum scored by one talented individual is 200 (out of 240). So basically in this exam the pass marks would be 130-140.

One thing you must note in the actual results which I had received over my entire journey of three levels – The pass rate increases with each level 🙂 The primary reason for the same is that the non-serious candidates keep getting filtered out with each increasing level 🙂
